Spotlight: Sole win was at Salisbury (1m6f) last August but he's a reliable type who has hasn't been beaten far in his two runs this season including a clear second at Salisbury; looks worth another try at this trip and he's still unexposed on AW; shortlisted.

Spotlight: Dual course winner (1m5f/2m); ran well over 1m6f at Salisbury (second) in May and Bath (third) in June but he's flopped with tailed-off efforts in last two starts; has something to prove and he needs a major revival back at this track; cheekpieces removed.

Spotlight: Overall record of 1-19 but his win was off 2lb lower at Kempton (2m, AW) in June and he's posted some creditable efforts since; finished a remote second on turf here (1m5f, good) last time but that was behind a major improver and he's respected back up in trip; cheekpieces added.

Spotlight: Nine-race maiden who has not made an impact in two middle-distance handicaps this summer but she's now back on the same mark as for her close call at Wolverhampton (1m6f) in February; looks interesting on that form and this new trip is worth exploring.

Spotlight: Runner-up off 3lb higher over C&D in May but his form has nosedived with heavy defeats in both subsequent runs; record is now 0-12 and others are more convincing; visor is removed and cheekpieces return.

Spotlight: Some promise in bumpers for Harry Derham; tailed off in three Flat runs (1m-1m3f) for current yard but she now goes handicapping off a basement mark and is a possible improver upped to this trip and wearing a visor for the first time; needs watching in market.

Spotlight: All of his seven AW wins have been over C&D and he returned to the Flat with a good second at this track in April; well-held fifth here (AW/good) in last two starts but he's had another short break and is a big player if he can rediscover his spark.

Spotlight: Sole win from 26 starts was over 1m4f here (AW) last February; second in a seller on the turf track here last month but he's been well held in last two runs and has stamina to prove at this new trip.

Spotlight: Completed a Southwell double (1m6f, Tapeta) last autumn but he's been disappointing since and was tailed off at Nottingham last month; has lots to prove and he needs a big turnaround back on AW.

Spotlight: Her breakthrough win (16th attempt) over C&D last November proved controversial (gifted a big lead) and she hasn't matched that form in five outings since; down the list.

Spotlight: Well held in all seven starts, including two handicaps on turf here (2m, good) this summer; still unexposed as a stayer but she needs improvement.

Spotlight: Generally struggled at big prices in bumpers and it's been a similar story in four Flat runs; started his handicap career with a heavy defeat at Salisbury (1m6f) last month and needs a transformation on this switch to AW.

Spotlight: Won a maiden hurdle early in 2024 but she's drawn a blank under both codes since; perked up with respectable third over hurdles at at Southwell (2m4f) in June but that took her overall record to 1-24 and she's with another new yard now; down the list.
