Spotlight: Unexposed as a sprinter and he has shaped well this summer, second at Haydock before a troubled run over C&D in June; beaten 2l at York last month when poorly drawn and dropped 1lb since; almost certainly ahead of the handicapper granted some luck in running.

Spotlight: Ended 2024 with two good AW runs and he made short work of a rival who now boasts a BHA mark of 88 on his reappearance at Nottingham in April (6f, good); unexposed but he's in a deep race for his handicap debut.

Spotlight: Well treated again now and he had a near miss at Ripon 17 days ago (6f, good; cheekpieces on for the first time); 2lb rise fair enough but he has to prove himself on AW.

Spotlight: Finished second in the 6f handicap at Wolverhampton's Racing League fixture three weeks ago (well positioned; form franked); this looks a better race but she's reliable and should give it another good go.

Spotlight: Bumped into one in the 7f handicap on this card 12 months ago; three solid efforts this year but latest Wolverhampton fifth will need bettering.

Spotlight: Cost 62,000gns out of Ralph Beckett's yard; disappointed in two 6f runs after winning his novice on heavy (stiff task in Listed race on first occasion) but it's still early days and he has been gelded; enough to prove in a competitive race.

Spotlight: Progressive at two and he made an encouraging return at Goodwood (7f, good) in May; Royal Ascot is easy to forgive and he met trouble when a close fourth at Chester last month (6f, good); not discounted on AW debut.

Spotlight: Looked good when winning at Southwell on his handicap debut in February (6f); form then levelled off until he ran out the easy winner of a 6f handicap at Kempton in June (well backed); stiff task at Newmarket six weeks ago and the return to AW is in his favour.

Spotlight: Began his career with two good second-place finishes; creditable fourth on his handicap debut four weeks ago (6f, good; cheekpieces first time); this is a step up in class.

Spotlight: In blistering form on AW over the winter, winning six Tapeta handicaps between December and April; also a 7f turf winner in May but possible the handicapper has his measure for now.

Spotlight: Slipped to a dangerous mark and there have been signs he retains ability this year; never dangerous at Goodwood last time (first run after a wind op; raced too freely early on) but returning to 6f can help; a possible at a price now making a belated AW debut.
