Spotlight: 180,000euros breeze-up buy who was sent off the hot favourite when winning by 12l on last month's debut at Haydock (6f, good); it didn't look a great race and this is a vastly tougher test of her credentials, but she's an exciting prospect and Ryan Moore rides.

Spotlight: Made it 3-5 with Listed win at Newmarket (6f, good to firm) in June; in the first three in Group races the next twice; she was just over 3l behind runner-up Royal Fixation when third in the Duchess of Cambridge at Newmarket two starts ago but this consistent sort has an each-way chance.

Spotlight: Made all by 3l at Hamilton (5f, good) on second start and followed up in Listed race at La Teste-de-Buch in France (6f, good), when readily accounting for several previous winners; this is tougher but she's respected.

Spotlight: Made all on debut at Kempton (6f, AW) last month and did likewise to follow up in Ripon novice (6f, good); this 600,000gns yearling is out of a South African Grade 2 winner and could have more left in the tank, but both wins have come by half a length and she needs a sizeable step forward today.

Spotlight: 33-1 winner of the Listed Marygate Stakes here (5f, good to firm) in May on her second start; then well beaten at Royal Ascot (5f, good to firm) before 2l sixth of eight in Group 3 at Deauville (7f, good); the return to York could be a positive but others arrive with far more pressing claims.

Spotlight: Won on debut at Chelmsford (6f, AW) in June and followed up in Newbury novice (6f, good to firm), again by about 2l; hasn't looked the finished article and she's open to further improvement, but it's very much needed now she is taking a leap in grade.

Spotlight: Sole representative for trainer who won this in 2019 and 2022, and she was impressive on debut at Beverley (5f, good to firm) in July; another good run when close second to Dandana at Ripon (6f, good) recently but she has plenty to find in today's company.
