Spotlight: Below form when well held over 2m5f here on penultimate start, but resumed progress back down in trip when a comfortable winner over C&D last month; hit with a 9lb hike for that success but he's not yet fully exposed and merits respect.

Spotlight: Has shown more since joining this stable this season and ran his best race yet when runner-up to a rapid improver at Market Rasen (2m2f, good) five days ago, ridden by Freddie Mitchell, who is good value with his allowance; place claims if the race doesn't come too soon.

Spotlight: 13-race maiden, though twice a runner-up here in June, and his recent third at Uttoxeter (2m, good) was a good effort; however, both previous efforts over this sort of trip have ended in heavy defeats, and he looks vulnerable off his current mark despite the returning Luke Scott.

Spotlight: 0-11 over hurdles, but has shown improvement since wind surgery this year, finishing second on his last two runs, latest behind Stinginhisstep over C&D last month off 2lb lower; probably requires the new headgear to eke out further improvement for the win.

Spotlight: Dual 2m5f hurdle winner here in summer 2023 but has largely struggled since; however, he took a good step forward with a tongue-tie added when fourth over C&D last month dropped to this level; well treated on best form and has possibilities, especially if recent wind surgery has a positive effect.

Spotlight: Returned from a break with a win at Huntingdon (2m4f, good) in May and, although the race didn't go ideally, ran creditably in his follow-up bid off this mark at Stratford (2m2f, good to firm) last time; still well handicapped on older form and worth considering with Harry Cobden booked.

Spotlight: Hasn't won for nearly three years but he's often placed and was only just denied over 2m1f here in June, though he has to be forgiven a below-par run when well behind Stinginhisstep over C&D last month; could place again, with Brian Hughes taking over from a claimer, if back on song.

Spotlight: Hasn't added to his maiden hurdle win in 2023 since going into handicaps, but made a promising step forward off a much-reduced mark when finishing a 3.5l third of ten over 2m1f here last time; could build on that back from a 78-day break and racing off the same mark.

Spotlight: Never figured when last of eight back on the Flat latest, but he'd been running well under both codes this year and was rewarded for his efforts when winning over hurdles at Stratford (2m2f, good) last month; worth considering with the 3lb rise looking fair.

Spotlight: Has mostly struggled off higher marks since winning at Fontwell (2m1f, good to soft) in first-time cheekpieces last September, albeit he went close at Musselburgh in December, and hasn't progressed in three runs over fences this summer; needs the return to hurdles to spark a revival.

Spotlight: Has struggled since joining this stable, including when briefly tried over fences and in cheekpieces, but offered some hope here on heavy ground in April (2m1f); has come a long way down in the weights but returns from a break with enough to prove.

Spotlight: Placed in a Fontwell bumper (good) and a 2m Worcester novice hurdle (good to soft; first-time cheekpieces) in June, but not so good since, most recently on handicap debut when appearing not to stay the 2m4f; drops back in trip with a bit to prove.
